Technology Improvements for Holocaust Education (2025-2026)
The Tolerance Education Center (TEC) is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote tolerance, respect, and understanding while eliminating hatred and bigotry. Through education and engagement, we foster a mindset that rejects prejudice, challenges stereotypes, and celebrates diversity. TEC’s programs include lectures by Holocaust survivors and scholars of genocide; exhibitions about the Holocaust and exhibits that celebrate diversity and the human experience; film screenings, readings and book signings; and a celebrated education program that brings students, more than 35,000 to date, from across the region to the Center to hear first-hand accounts directly from Holocaust survivors Today our project is to purchase and install up to date audio visual equipment necessary to run effective Holocaust education programming for students and update the 20-year-old theater viewing room with modern projection and audio streaming equipment. With these upgrades we hope to continue providing quality programming for students while equipping our facility to accommodate new virtual learning and streaming opportunities in the future.
