Bushido Warriors (2024-2025, 2023-2024, 2022-2023)
Seiden – Juku was founded by Sensei Tamara Canedo in 2020 to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the art of Karate-Do. Sensei Tamara believes every human being has the power within themselves to become a Champion. Through the art of Karate-Do, Sensei teaches individuals of all abilities that they can train their mind and their body to act together in strength.Through her para-karate practice, Sensei Tamara discovered the profound impact Karate -Do can have on people who otherwise do not see themselves as strong, brave, and capable. The confidence evident in her students as they progressed through their training is remarkable. Inspired by her students with disabilities, Sensei Tamara expanded her mission to include other vulnerable individuals, such as children in foster care, bullied victims, and emotionally and sexually abused children. Through their participation in the Seiden – Juku, students learn that they can train their minds and body to act together in strength; giving some of the most vulnerable the power to see beyond their past, the strength to feel safe and the confidence to thrive.

Angel Warriors (2020-2021)
Angel Warriors is a life changing movement for children to learn resilience though the art of Karate-Do. Our mission is to service God's angels on earth - we prioritize children in need. Our angels come from all backgrounds. The art of Karate-Do teaches kids the fundamental skills in life. The art teaches a lifestyle that has to be lived by. We teach love, respect, focus, discipline, inclusion, balance, confidence, mental cognitive, and courtesy. Life comes with challenges therefore we emphasize the analogy of falling down 10 times, but we stand up 11 times. We grow every single day as Angel Warriors. Karate is an art that is very hard to master. Children have to learn how to deal with their own personal obstacles. We will guide them into loving their failures and maximizing on the opportunity for them to improve.
