Reading Nook in Children's Area of Renovated Library (2026-2027)
The Palm Springs Public Library Foundation is reimagining our Library’s Children’s Room. We are constructing one of three individual reading nooks in the Children’s Area of the renovated library that will be named in honor of Irene W. and Guy L. Anderson Children’s Foundation. The nooks are constructed of wipeable, easy to clean Corian solid surface material, allowing for a fun, clean, and safe place for small children to cozy up with a good book at the library. The reading nook will form an oval cutout in the wall of the Children’s Area with a small seat just right for a very young child to recline with a picture book and let their imagination run wild. This grant supports the construction cost of one nook.
