Palm Springs Community Concert Association

For the past 20 years, the Palm Springs Community Concert Association’s Student Concert Enrichment Program has provided thousands of Palm Springs Unified School District students—97% of whom come from families at or below the federal poverty level—with free access to high quality musical performing arts experiences they would otherwise be unlikely to encounter. In recent years, the program has expanded its reach by bringing mini concerts directly into PSUSD schools, ensuring that students across Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Thousand Palms, and Rancho Mirage can experience live music without the barrier of transportation. Live classical music matters because it creates emotional, cognitive, and social experiences that shape young minds — especially those who might otherwise never encounter the performing arts.
