Breaking Down Barriers - Inclusive School Community Literacy Journal (2026-2027)

Our literary Journal is a project designed to highlight our student’s diverse voices. The journal prints two volumes a year, once in December and another in June. Students submit poems, writings, stories, art, and photography united under a common theme. Students also have the opportunity to share their pieces at a talent showcase during the same time the journal is published. All students who are published receive a physical copy of the journal to honor their commitment to publishing their work. Other activities centered around the journal will serve as inspiration. Students will have guest writers and poets, field trips, and have the supplies necessary for the creation of their beautiful works. This journal creates a supportive space for all students to have their artistic expression honored and valued.
