Supporting Grandfamilies Raising Children (2026-2027)
Grandparents Love (GPL) supports grandparents who are raising their grandchildren across the Coachella Valley. When parents can't be there, grandparents step in, and many do it on fixed incomes while facing real financial strain. With funding from the Anderson Children's Foundation, GPL helps these families meet both everyday and urgent needs so the children in their care can thrive. Support goes toward household essentials like washers and dryers, children's basic needs like clothing and school supplies, educational help, and an emergency fund for families hit with sudden hardship. GPL also brings grandfamilies together for respite and connection through community events. Together, this support eases the load on grandparents and gives grandchildren a more stable, secure home. GPL believes that when you lift up a grandparent, you lift up the whole family.
