Desert Storm Basketball

Basketball Opportunities (2020-2021, 2019-2020)

Desert Storm Basketball gives children and teens an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball while developing essential life skills such as teamwork, pride, dedication, and making good personal choices. Being part of the AAU Basketball Organization gives all of our student athletes a chance to travel around the United States to highly competitive tournaments in locations such as Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and for our high school girls team, also Chicago. The Nike Elite Tournament of Champions in Chicago is a mecca for girls basketball and the #1 stop for the nation’s most elite youth teams and college coaches scouting the young talent. Our high school girls will be part of the iconic tournament, which is the most competitive club basketball event! Desert Storm Basketball teams practice a minimum of 6 hours/week, with tournaments every other weekend from April - June with an intense tournament schedule in July. We have added league season in the winter and spring for student athletes ages 5-14. Our student athletes are taught basketball skills, as well as leadership skills, healthy life habits, and time management. Basketball in the Coachella Valley is an underdeveloped sport. Our goal is to develop our athletes and enhance the program.
