Playground Remodel (2019-2020)
Desert Chapel will redesign the elementary school parking lot. In the remodel are plans to develop a play area, redesign the parking lot, improve existing play areas, and construct a new wall ball court.
Impacting Our Community (2017-2018)
The Desert Chapel Christian School initiative aims to impact the Palm Springs community in a variety ways, from the student population and church congregation to local youth and families.
As of last year, Desert Chapel has served as the permanent home for Camp of Champions, which strengthens children mentally and physically through sports. This program also brings in guests like former US National Team soccer captain David Durrico and the LA Galaxy soccer club.
Desert Chapel also provides eyeglasses for kids through Camp of Champions and the Lions Club, and provides toys for children throughout the valley with Toys for Tots. This grant will help Desert Chapel serve even more youth throughout the valley and expand its reach as more children come through its doors.
