Middle School Art Program (2017-2018, 2016-2017, 2015-2016)

The Desert Art Center, a non profit cooperative artist gallery in Palm Springs and the Palm Springs School District has formed a partnership to provide Art classes to Middle School Students. These students may take Clay, Drawing, Printmaking or Watercolor classes. The four classes are three hours long and are held at the Desert Art Center. The teachers are DAC members who are professional artists. Because of budget cuts the middle school age students have few if any Art classes available at their schools.

The Middle School Art Program serves 108 middle school students from PSUSD as well as private schools and home schools. The art classes are Watercolor, Drawing and Clay. Each class has 12 students and two teachers. Each class has four sessions from 1-4 pm on Saturdays at the Desert Art Center, 550 N. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs. The Fall session is Nov. 11-18, Dec. 2, 9, 2017.
