Coachella Valley Horse Rescue

Horsinalities Kids Camp (2024-2025)

HorsinalitiesTM Kids Camps teach youth horsemanship, how to read horse personalities, riding skills, how to care for horses, compassion for rescued animals and interpersonal skills. Developed at the Coachella Valley Horse Rescue, HorsinalitiesTM uses rescued horses to teach children about different horse personalities (shy, dominant, leaders) and promotes empowerment, leadership, and positive social skills. Literary skills are strengthened as kids read to a horse Janet Zappala’s children’s book, “Guapo’s Giant Heart: The True Story of the Calf Who Kept Growing” and “Guapo’s Great Rescue: Clay Finds a Forever Home” featuring a few of the animals at the Coachella Valley Horse Rescue.
