Little League Park Improvements (2018-2019)

By popular demand, in 1972, the City of Desert Hot Springs partnered with Little League International to collaborate in achieving a Desert Hot Springs Little League (DHSLL) chapter for local children. Since then, the partnership has been the main provider of organized youth baseball and softball within the community. It has proven to be a great success! Today, some 700 boys and girls age 4-16 participate in co-ed T-ball, youth baseball, and youth softball. Games are played on two fields at the City-owned Wardman Park.

By contributing the fields at Wardman Park and facility maintenance, the City enables Desert Hot Springs Little League to use its funds to provide a large number of youth scholarships. The joint program allows the maximum number of kids to participate—a win for everyone!
