Birth Choice of the Desert

Birth Choice of the Desert (BCD) offers support for families facing pregnancy, parenting, and/or reproductive health concerns, by providing the following free services: Pregnancy testing, Limited Ultrasounds, Physician Referral for Prenatal Care support. All medical services are provided through referrals to an onsite doctor’s office. Material Assistance for (babies/toddlers) and online Educational Parenting classes for the prenatal, infant and toddler stages. BCD also has recently added a Fatherhood Program and a Grief and Loss Program for moms seeking counseling following a loss related to pregnancy.

Our Material Assistance Program is dedicated to supporting families in our community by providing essential baby items. This program offers a range of resources, including diapers, wipes, formula, clothes, toiletries, and large baby items. Our goal is to ensure that every family has access to the necessary supplies to care for their babies, helping families to alleviate some of the financial pressures and improve the well-being of both parents and children. Our Material Assistance Program offers parents, foster parents, and legal guardians the opportunity to receive items every four weeks, with necessities for children 0-2 years old. Thanks to the Anderson Children’s Foundation, BCD can provide this program, increase our giving, and continue to help more children as this program expands to serve those in need in the Coachella Valley.
