AYSO Region 1200

AYSO 1200 has been serving Cathedral City and surrounding residents for over 25 years. AYSO provides a fun, safe, positive environment for thousands of local youth within the Coachella Valley. We include both girls and boys, ages 4 to 18, and we are all-inclusive for children with disabilities. We also offer a Select League that is for more advanced players to help them compete at high levels with other AYSO leagues in the area.

The AYSO Mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs throughout the country which promote a fun, family environment built on the foundation of our six philosophies:

• Everybody Plays – each player will play at least 3 quarters of every game.

• Balanced Teams – we evaluate players prior to the season to make the games fun.

• Positive Coaching – we formally train our coaches in both soccer and encouragement.

• Open Registration – AYSO allows any child, regardless of location to enroll.

• Good Sportsmanship – our volunteers strive for every child to play fair.

• Player Development – the goal of coaches is to make sure that players get better.

Our coaches and volunteers must have a background check every year. We are Safe Sport compliant and pride ourselves on offering a safe, fun, positive place to play soccer. AYSO is an all-volunteer organization and the biggest soccer association in the world.

Ayso 1200 has provided youth soccer programs since 1997. We provide a fun, safe, positive environment for the youth in Cathedral City and surrounding area. With this grant we will be able to continue to provide youth soccer programs at a low cost. We will also be able to offer scholarships for some of our socio-economically disadvantaged families. We pride ourselves in our philosophies which are everyone plays, balanced teams, open registration, positive coaching, good sportsmanship, and player development.
