Young Women Leaders (2023-2024)
Young Women Leaders (YWL) is an engaging outreach program that has served high school seniors throughout the Coachella Valley since 2001. Students who participate in the program receive educational and etiquette training, informational resources for networking, college applications, and much more, and access to women leaders in the community who serve as role models. The program’s goal is to guide young ladies into roles of leadership and success, as they prepare for college, business, and life. Seniors who successfully complete the educational programming and project requirements are eligible to apply for either a need-based or merit scholarship. To date, WLF has distributed close to $800,000 in scholarship awards to 210 deserving young women in the community.
