Team Loaner Mountain Bikes (2022-2023)
The Coachella Valley Roadrunners are a middle school and high school mountain bike team in the SoCal league chapter of NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association). We accept students from any Coachella Valley middle or high school. Safety is our number one priority, and we focus on teaching bike skills, teamwork, responsibility, and respect for the trails and wilderness. Most of all, we want our student athletes to have fun, and develop a lifetime love of cycling.
We would like every middle/high school youth interested in cycling to be able to participate, and to feel welcomed, respected, and supported. We recognize that not all students that would like to join the team have access to a working mountain bike and would like to offer a team loaner bike to those in need. We hope that by having loaner bikes available, we can give kids an outlet to improve their communication skills, self-identity, mindfulness, confidence, interpersonal skills, and healthy habits while also learning about teamwork, responsible trail access, sustainability/habitats, individual goal setting, and trail safety.
