Next Generation of Lifesavers (2026-2027, 2022-2023)
With support from the Anderson Children’s Foundation, the American Heart Association will implement the Coachella Valley, Next Generation of Lifesavers program that aims to prevent sudden cardiac death in youth athletics; increase the number of trained responders present at youth sports games; and expand equitable access to lifesaving education for underserved youth sports organizations. We know that people who have been trained to perform hands-only CPR are more likely to react in an emergency, and that ultimately, training our youth sports participants will result in increased chances of survival for cardiac arrest victims across Coachella Valley.
